Rock Salt

The story so far..
Last winter it got so cold and icy, and after being stuck for two days we had to start spreading rock salt on our lane from the bins provided by the council, what surprised me was how little was required to melt the ice and how clear the road was afterwards. Then I took to carrying some in the delivery van and a small spade, this got me out of endless slippery situations and enabled deliveries not otherwise possible.

It seemed to me that as I was using it when my customers needed fuel and this is a winter business, they might like it delivered with fuel as well, I might call it my fire and ice delivery.

Rock salt is rock salt, the mineral Halite mined in Cheshire, a salty form of rock that has almost magical properties to melt away snow and ice, with a gritty texture to help give good grip.

Rock salt works well just sprinkled on existing snow and ice, but next time Rob Mckellway tells you its going to freeze go out and sprinkle some on the drive, you will be amazed at the results. Get some today, keep Jack away.
