Our new product is made by Verdo of The Shire. The wood is from the Old Forest and certified by the Council of Elrond as sustainable, it comes completely free of Orks and is of course very precious.

Verdo is not really a Tolkien character left behind to make wood fuel while Frodo, Sam and Pipin go off on their big adventure, but a Danish company who have built two plants in the UK to produce wood pellets and wood briquettes. All the wood is a by-product of local sawmills and from sustainable sources.

The wood is very dry and gives a very good heat energy at around 4.8kw. They make a fantastic fire in all my burners and last twice as long as normal logs.

These are a very good every day log and at fantastic introductory prices. They might be budget logs but they produce a high heat and burn for a long time. I found it was best to break them into smaller pieces, just use like normal logs.
