Great for open fires and stoves

These are one of the few briquettes we have found that are suitable for use in an open fires, but excellent in stoves as well. Unlike your teenage children these hardwood logs have no trouble staying in at night. They burn long slow and hot, are super dry so you get less smoke and fewer chimney deposits. The stove glass stays clean for a brilliant clear view of the fire. If your only objection to briquettes is aesthetic, when burning, these look just like the real thing. We use them for overnight burning in our Woodwarm stove. Put two or three in last thing at night, give them plenty of secondary air for about 10 minutes and then shut down the stove leaving just a trickle of air. This fuel is so compressed there are 4 high density logs in a 10 kg pack.
